On hold on Roatan – Honduras…
by admin on Mar.13, 2010, under Destinations, Travel News
I think the place is great for scuba diving and snorkeling, but until the environment is a little more stable, and services are a bit upgraded, I’m putting Roatan on hold…
Where the heck is Roatan?

I live in Roatan. What’s unstable about the environment? What level of service do you require? We have good resorts, restaurants, and the best scuba diving and snorkeling in the Caribbean.
Please explain what you want.
With best regards,

I believe I did mention the fantastic snorkeling and scuba diving. What I didn’t mention but was referring to, were constant power outages and/or surges – shutting down hotels and restaurants, and not enhancing a vacationer’s experience. I believe Roatan has made improvements, which is why I recommended readers do their own research before making any decision. I also linked to a somewhat opposing article from USAToday in order to provide readers with the latest from an additional, known source, and another point of view regarding Roatan.
Honduras is politically unstable – I’m “on hold” because of it.
Thank you for taking time to ask…even if you were annoyed.
