I’m partial to the Old Line State since I was born there and spent most of my early days living in the beautiful Maryland countryside. And what’s not to like?

There are too many other places to go in the world to ever risk this type of issue. But since the guy on the camel has no problem ogling tourists…it seems a little hypocritical…unless he’s a camel-riding actor…

Legalized gambling for revenue in Hawaii

If Native Hawaiians are concerned about tourism distorting their culture, they can’t be happy about the push for legalized gambling currently gaining momentum.

I can’t think of much worse that will contribute to the very thing Native Islanders are most concerned about. Waikiki is so over-developed and commercialized now, adding gambling will just convert it permanently into a “strip” mentality.

The Coalition against legalized gambling will have to fight very hard to stop the cash-strapped politicians and special interests from pushing this through. Greed usually rules and the islands will not benefit, culturally, from this new money-making idea.
