These boots are made for (dry) walking!
If your feet are wet or hurting, you won't go much further - this can't happen on vacation-time...
Your feet need to stay warm and dry or you'll be focusing on your lack of comfort instead of enjoying your vacation. I can say a pair of these on a recent damp day walking historic Williamsburg, Virginia would have been welcomed.

Don't Forget Your Gloves
I have a terrible habit of buying gloves, leaving them home thinking I probably won't need them - and then wishing I had them later. The Heat Storing Leather Gloves (Women's).
These are the fleece-lined waterproof gloves that keep extremities dry and warm down to temperatures as low as -30º F.
The gloves have a patented in-cuff seal that keep hands dry even when submerged.
